Handmade Hunting Kukri Fighting & Survival knife (11 inch Blade)

This kukri is made by hand by expert kukri Bladesmiths in Nepal at Khukuri Nepal (KHukuri Craft Pvt. Ltd. Nepal)
I know there are many kukri makers in and out of Nepal that make kukri knives of varying quality and price. Rest assured I will not sell garbage kukri knives. I will not sell display knives... I will only sell real working Kukri knives that are high quality and made from 5160 high carbon steel and hardened correctly. If you find a super cheap Kukri understand there is a good chance you are getting a display kukri and made with substandard materials and workmanship.

This is the “Hunting” (khukuri) that is similar to the ones ccarried by the Nepalese Gurkha soldiers but made more for

Referred to as the “WW2” model. The Kukri was officially issued to Gurkhas in UK in WW2 upon completion of their selection and training. The khukuri (kukri) is a prized possession of all British Gurkha soldiers. It is carried by them throughout their army life and is a central part of the identity as warriors. They are inspected regularly by an officer, thier kukri is usually used during Parade and Duty. It has two pockets on the back of the scabbard that holds a blunt steel called “Karda and chakmak”. One is the sharpener which is used to care for the edge of the blade & the other is used for administrative tasks. The notch (kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of most khukuris was designed to keep blood from running down on your hand and making your grip slippery…

It also serves as a device for catching and neutralizing and enemy blade… pretty cool!
