It has a wide impact area of up to 2 and 1/4 inches on the round side. The 3 ply body with the welt allows for approximately 1/2 inche of beautiful burnished real estate for serous side impacts with the edge if your assaulter is a slow learner! In a fight you need "hard surfaces". Sometimes Less Lethal is the better option.
